NHC Setlist – 14 Sep 2008

  • Everybody Praise The Lord (Lincoln Brewster)
  • Here Is Our King (David Crowder Band)
  • Thank You For Healing Me (Matt Redman)
  • Freedom Reigns (Michael Larson)

Worship led today by Gary Humble.

Everybody Praise The Lord is a great song to start off the service with.  I love the groove of this song – especially the break-down part.

Here Is Our King is a classic now and I love singing it.

Thank You For Healing Me was new for us.  It’s a great song by Matt Redman (from his Beautiful News album).  The congregation seemed to like it based on feedback.  Apparently I’m supposed to know every Redman song there is because I’m from the UK.  ;-)

Yvette did a great job on Freedom Reigns.  I actually prefer her voice on it to Rita Springer.  I found it difficult grasping the harmony this morning because we sing it slightly different back home in Ireland.

This post is part of the Sunday Setlist Carnival.

  1. Great set! Love that you did Everybody Praise the Lord. We’ve not done it (at least since I’ve been there), but it’s on one of the pre-worship service music CDs playing in the background before service… :)

I’m going to have to check out this Matt Redman song. I have never heard it, but I’m praying a TON for healing lately, so it caught my eye especially!

  2. That Lincoln Brewster song popped into my head the other day, can’t remember why. Haven’t thought about it in several years, but man – whatta great song! That breakdown in the middle was wayyyy too fun. Took some extra rehearsing, but totally worth it. I’m gonna have that stuck in my head all week now…

  3. I’d love to hear your version of “Freedom Reigns.”

  4. Freedom Reigns is powerful stuff. Love that song.

  5. I didn’t realize it before, but we’re doing Freedom Reigns on Sunday. Another title for it is “There Is Freedom” so I didn’t realize it at first.

Wonder if we can make it “Celtic-ish” and do it for the Celtic-style worship night! :D LOVE this song……. So stoked about whatever God’s going to do and is doing right now! (Can’t you tell I’m excited?!) :)
