Set List 19-Aug-2007
It’s been sooo long since I’ve led worship at my home church. I’m nervous and excited at the same time. Here is the list of songs I have chosen to play.
| Everlasting God | Brenton Brown, Ken Riley | Bb |
| For All You’ve Done | Reuben Morgan | E |
| Glory | Reuben Morgan | E |
| Beautiful One | Tim Hughes | D |
| From The Inside Out | Joel Houston | C |
| I Need Thee Every Hour | Annie S. Hawks | G |
| Above All Powers | Paul Baloche, Lenny LeBlanc | G |
| Holy Is The Lord | Chris Tomlin | G |
I heard the hymn “I Need Thee Every Hour” sang in church while I was in Durham and been wanting to use it ever since. I think it goes quite nicely off the end of “From The Inside Out“. The second chorus finishes with the chord of G and the words “…Lord my soul cries out…“, which allows me to go immediately into “…I need thee every hour” after a short pause.
If the hymn goes well I’ll sing all verses, otherwise I’ll cut it short and start singing “Above All Powers” instead. “Holy Is The Lord” is there should I need an extra song.

sounds good!!!
i like the idea of “I Need Thee Every Hour” after “From the Inside Out”.
i think stringing songs together like that can be a really powerful tool when leading,

Hi Mandy,
The transition between the songs worked very well I thought. I had a few comments afterwards about it. There is quite a few people who really appreciate the mixing of old and new worship music within a set.
